Here’s a few snaps of what I’m wearing today…
I also took some pictures of my walk to work – I’m really lucky that I only live twenty minutes walk from my job -
Look who else I saw on my walk – BUNNIES!! Can you see them? There are about four in the above picture, chilling on the grass.
This is an abandoned building on the site where I work! It was built in the 20s by architect Owen Williams and was used as the main office and canteen building for many years, until about 2005 when it was closed and all staff moved to the new head office building which I work in. You can see some more pictures of the Boots site here - the gardens outside D31 are beautiful, although mainly enjoyed by the rabbits apart from during the summer months!
More random news – this week I won a pair of shoes from Clarks! I could pick any pair I wanted, so much umming and ahhing commenced. I was very tempted by these little beauties, but I have around 10 pairs of lovely heels already so I went for some practical but also lovely suede flats – what do you think?!

What I’m wearing today!

It’s currently overcast in Beeston with sleet forecast for tonight – the amazing tropical weather of last week is but a memory, with only blustery April weather forecast for the next few weeks!
I went for a low maintenance look today, with my hair up in a bun.
I played around with my new Barry m wink eyeliner marker – I’m still having trouble getting the look I want with it but I’m hopefully making progress! I’ll do a review soon!
The top I’m wearing is like a lacy knit jumper I’ve had for years – I really need to get some new work clothes!
Purple flowery skirt! Again I’ve had this for years but I don’t care as I love it (and it’s ageing well!).
Sparkly silver shoes! I rarely wear these shoes as they hurt like an SOB although that breaks my heart since they’re so beautiful. I’m going to make an effort to wear them more when I don’t have far to walk.

What I’m wearing today

And it’s officially the first day of spring – hurrah! It’s still pretty chilly in the mornings and evenings, but things are definitely on the up…. And the clocks go forward this weekend, meaning that it will stay light until about 8pm!
Today I’m wearing a green sheer long sleeve top under a black flouncy dress!
I still can’t be bothered to do anything too high maintenance with my hair at the moment so it’s up in a bun ring.
Marty is wearing his regular tuxedo coat. He’s a stylish cat, this guy.
No nail polish today – in deciding what colour to go for next – I’m thinking bright pink.
Shoes – brown Mary Jane style with a chunky heel. I’ve had these for years and they were originally from New Look. Still going strong.
Breakfast today – muesli with nuts, yoghurt, blueberries and cinnamon. The perfect mix of carbs and protein to keep you full all day! Plus cinnamon helps to regulate your blood sugar and it’s scent actually boosts brain function!

Today I’m wearing a blue cutout top with a flowery purple skirt and dark blue cardigan! Definitely inspired by spring and nicer weather being around the corner since I haven’t worn this top pretty much all winter!
My old battered walking to work shoes kinda need replacing (I’ve had them since 2006!). I’ve got my eye on some new purple converse!

I went for a quick and easy hairstyle today – a simple side plait (that’s braid for my American readers!).
When I was thinking about these posts, I realised that I don’t think I’ve ever done one featuring this outfit. Which is quite odd since I wear it ALL the time. Probably once a week! The top is from the Asos sale and I’ve had it probably 2 years or so. It is Asos own brand but fits my shape really well and is good quality, unlike a lot of their stuff.
This skirt is the amazing skirt. I bought it about 5 years ago from FCUK. I think it was in the sale but it was still about £30. I’ve work it hundreds and hundreds times since and it still looks awesome!
I’m also wearing my retro style Dune Mary Janes ( I walked to work in warm socks and trainers as its pretty cold an icy after the snowfall we got at the weekend ).
Finally I’m wearing a fun pink nail polish – this is pink grapefruit by Boots 17.

I have realised lately that much of my wardrobe belongs to the blue/ green family (emphasis on the blue!) – see what I mean?
So today I bring you… The all blue outfit!!
Starting with Barry M navy blue nail polish (i like this colour okay but I definitely prefer the red/pink family for my nails!)
With a blue jumper (from primark about 4 years ago!)

I was trying to show you my hair…. I was trying to do a beehive ponytail but it never seems to work really. I need to check out some tutorials on YouTube!
Blue white and red (how patriotic!) check skirt from French Connection. I got this from a charity shop for £4! It’s lovely and soft. It was a size 16 but my mum took it in for me!

Today I’m feeling cheerful (despite still having the evil cough – I swear I need an exorcism to get rid of this thing) as I’m going out for dinner today and I’m wearing my pretty new dress!
Nail-wise, I was inspired by watching Evita while off sick to go for bright red 1940s style nails – this is red hot tamale by Revlon.
I’m also wearing high black court shoes from Peacocks – love the cute pink insides! I’ve had these for a year and a bit and they cost £12 I think.
And this is my new dress, apologies for the terrible picture – I’ve also grabbed a picture of it from the Oasis website below.
I love this dress – it comes below my knees and it quite figure hugging and makes me feel like a 1950s screen siren. Its my new favourite dress!

But then I forgot.
So instead, here is, literally – what I’m wearing today!
Blue peasant-y top from New Look (approx £8 I believe it was). Apologies for the terrible picture.
Primark black shorts (£6) and primark leggings (£3). I really like these shorts as they’re cute and comfy and I can wear them for work.
Ballet pumps from Matalan (£6 – god I love Matalan!)
Things that I am also wearing but I didn’t take a picture of -
I am also wearing a black Primark hoody for venturing outside – the weather is quite changeable here! It was £5 – I’ve had it for years – since the heady days of BEFORE we had a Primark in Nottingham! My hoody came from the Primark in Leicester!
And a grey pashmina – I believe it was from one of those pashmina stands in Nottingham town centre that were so popular back in the late noughties. I believe it was about £3.
So entire outfit = £31 and an alarming amount of Primark. Still, there have been many a day I’ve been sat in meetings at work and suddenly realised I’m wearing ALL Primark!
