The grilled cheese sandwich is truly a thing of beauty. Here’s how to make a great one – there’s technically no grilling involved!
- Lightly toast your bread. Apply [real] butter, sliced cheddar cheese and some diced red onion (yum!). Pop it back under the grill (the cheesey slice only) until the cheese is melty.
Melt some butter in a pan over a medium heat and pop your sandwich into the pan. Grill on both sides, adding more butter to the pan if necessary.
When the sandwich is golden on both sides, remove from the heat and cut in half and quickly serve before it gets cold!
