Happy Friday guys! It’s been another busy week stuffed full of Halloween tricks and treats and some other fun stuff. I feel like I’m pretty settled into my new job now and I’m really enjoying it – although my legs haven’t quite gotten used to cycling just yet.
This week my lovely friend Erin started a blog – Florence & Belle. Take a look at her latest post about her day out in Belper – I went past there when I visited Matlock Bath and it looked lovely.
Laverly new winter boots from Debenhams… what do you think?

One colourful Halloween bundt cake made using black and tangerine apricot Sugarflair gel colours

I went for an amazing cinnamon bun cupcake, plus a chocolate cupcake and a slice of pumpkin cake (already eaten) at Cake Club – I think these may have been my best choices EVER – they were all SUPER DELICIOUS.
Hmm, I’ve just realised that I actually bought three pairs of new shoes this week… they were all on sale if that makes it any better? Working near so many shops is already proving dangerous to my bank balance!
A double rainbow outside my parents house in the middle of an afternoon storm – the weather the past couple of days has been crazy (the tail from Hurricane Sandy?) – the wind almost pushed me off my bike!
Finally & most excitingly, last night I went to see the killers! They were AMAZING. Sadly my ‘marry me brandon’ sign wasn’t successful but I will try again. Oh, I will try again. My favourite song is ‘all these things that I’ve done’
That bundt cake is AMAZING, Kerry! Totally inspired. And I’m loving those flats. Very fall.
Aw thanks Jorie!
Great photos as usual. Life size cupcakes…chocolate cake decorated with corn candy, my favorite Halloween treat. I know I’ve had enough of them when my teeth start to hurt, a goal of mine where candy is concerned.
Those little tan flats – are they by Tory Burch? If not she makes a slipper just that with the same insignia.
A rainbow like none other.
All in all, you had a pretty good week, at least in pictures.
Have a wonderful weekend.
PS I think that family portrait would make a great Christmas card.
Thanks Susannah, you too! The shoes are from Dorothy Perkins, which is a high street UK store. They cost £12 in the sale which I guess is around $20
Tory Burch would have been so much more and they look exactly the same 🙂
Your cooking absolutely blows me away. And I adore your kittie cats (you have two, right?) They fill me with such a mixed bag of emotions and make me miss my cats so much.
Ooh I love the tan shoes! And The Killers, amazing! Where were they playing? x
Thanks Jen! I went to see them at the lg arena in Birmingham – they’re at Nottingham on Saturday night xx
Oh I don’t even think I realised they were touring! Did they play much new stuff? x
Yeah quite a bit, the new album sounds awesome!
