Happy Friday!
Yummy homemade pizza (getting closer and closer to pizza perfection!), gorgeous blooming orchids and a trip to our local library
Gorgeously bright fruit in the local greengrocers, I am loving all of the fresh berries around now! Plus a fun weekend making funfetti cupcakes – so pretty!
Fun funfetti cakes and a pretty book for Lucy’s lovely book themed baby shower
Amazzzzing baby shower food, including scones, cheese biscuits and a phenomenal salted caramel cake. The weather was really gorgeous this past weekend, so we’ve been eating outside and hanging out in the garden lots
Kitties making the most of the sunshine, some wardrobe reorganisation (matching pillowcases with duvet covers which made me ridiculously happy!) and some (very) light reading – Five on a treasure island!
Beautiful blossom and green everywhere – it makes me HAPPY!
Spicy coconut dahl for dinner, chocolate cake from a cafe, and our City WI May meeting – all about vintage hairstyles! We had such fun
Vintage hair! Victory rolls, WI Ladies and me with a mahoosive beehive! The lovely Lucille of Lucille’s Locks showed us these amazing styles.
I hope you have a lovely and relaxing weekend readers! What are you getting up to?
Where did you get your funfetti from, did it work well baking it into the cake? I’ve been after some for ages but can’t find it on sale in the UK!
Hey Jen! I used normal hundreds and thousands inside the cake, plus some round bright sprinkles from b&m bargains. On the outside I used v bright heart and star sprinkles from the link below.
In retrospect I would also use some of the heart and star ones through the cake as the sprinkles did show up in the cake but not quite as brightly as I’d hoped.

Loving how colourful the pics are this week!
Thanks my dear! Me too! And the cherry blossom tree in our garden is now flowering! So happy!!
Is that what you call the big curl things – victory rolls? I love them! I bought a gorgeous from from a website called lindybop.co.uk (you may like actually?) and thought that style hair would suit it – i need to get experimental pre-wedding next week!
Yep Victory Rolls! She showed us how to do it – it involves LOTS of backcombing, hairspray and finesse! She made it look way too easy!
